Frequently Asked Questions

How does the relay work ?

Our Marathon Relay allows a team of 4 people to cover the marathon distance in 4 stages. Stage 1 is Longford to Tarmonbarry which is approximately 7 miles, Stage 2 is Tarmonbarry to Rooskey, again approximately 7 miles, Stage 3 is Rooskey to Newtownforbes, also about 7 miles and the final stage is from Newtownforbes back to the finish line in Longford approx 5 miles.

We have buses scheduled to bring the participants to and from the various changeover points, but if you prefer to get a friend to drop you to / collect you from the changeover points then that is fine too.

Each member of the team will get a goody bag, T-Shirt and a finishers medal.
